she left her heart ...

In San Francisco... ahhhhh yes..... last weekend was my hubby's 40th birthday and so for a huge surprise I booked a flight and hotel for San Francisco for the weekend .. he had no idea which was the funnest part ... right after work i wisked him away to the airport where we boarded a plane and headed to Cali for the weekend..... soo fun and spontaneous !! He loved it !!! So here are some of the things we did .... first we stayed at the most darling hotel called the Larkspur .. this hotel had sooo much history and was very vintage , the rooms were small and quaint with all the old vintage doors and chandeliers everywhere ... it was the quinnessential place to stay ...
we enjoyed time by the water and walking along the beach ... i just love the ocean ... it was a bit foggy but the fog had blew over just in time for our sunset cruise under the San Fran bridge ! it was amazing fun time and the scenery was breathtaking ... here we were on the cruise , it was a bit windy and a bit chilly at times , but other then that we had a blast !!!

and who doesn't love all the architecture in San Fran ... its so inspiring that you could spend days there just walking along all the streets ..(. the safe ones LOL.. but thats a whole other story ) while we were there the last day they were having a street fair on Union down by Cow Hollow .. there was this amazing flower shop that I snapped a picture of .... only in San Fran can you feel like you have traveled all over the world from Italy, China to the streets of Paris ... it truly is a wonderful city and sooo friendly to get around ..... well stay tuned because guess what ? this week there will be a giveaway on the Junk Bonanza blog for one of my pieces .....

She is having a Summer Sale

Just wanted to let you know that there is a sale going on at my website .. I am trying to clear room for all the new fall inventory coming later this summer so anything on sale I will no longer be carrying in the store !! I am also doing a small trunk show of one of a kind new items and a few mixed media pieces of art work !! she is happier ...

so i am counting down the days until California .... in the meantime I took some time to create a few new art pieces .... this one I LOVE she reads" happier as I am then I have ever been in my life" I am going to have a very hard time selling her...
then I created more houses... you may have seen some similiar when I was featured in Artful Blogging a while back.... I really forgot how much I loved doing these .... sooo much fun....

She is California Dreamin....

Yep ... the beach is calling my name ... truly as a cancer sign I love the water ...and the beach ... lucky for me my brother lives in Santa Monica ...... so while I am there I hope to put my feet in the sand and at least enjoy the ocean breeze for a bit ...... I am going to California to attend Glitterfest on Saturday May 22 and I have been busy making lots of new stuff especially one of a kind pieces ! I am also attending Jenny Doh's event at Crescendoh ... and can't wait to see all my Calfornia girls .. I also know a bunch of Arizona girls who are going too !! Anyways, here is a peek at the jewelry I will be taking along ...

she loves mama birds ....

This couldn't have happened at a more appropriate time ... two mama birds have decided to nest around my home ... we have one in the front and one in the back by our kitchen window... when I showed my boys yesterday they were super excited .... we are patiently waiting for them to have babies ... my 8 year old quickly stated " mommy, the birds are here because you use birds in your jewelry and they know its safe here...." it was one of those ah ha moments for me ... because it shows how much what i do has an impact on there little lives... . I really had no idea how close attention they pay to my jewelry .... but it makes me happy as my son sees me as an artist which I have a hard time seeing myself as sometimes... he also told me recently that when he grows up if he doesn't make the NBA he would like to be an artist like me .... so I introduce Ethan Quinn my new blossoming artist ... he asked me to share his recent art piece because he said "i will be famous then too mommy , like you.... your kinda like Leonard Di Vinci... " well, hmmm not really... but in his eyes I am ..... and that is why I love being a mom. Being a hero to someone so small everyday makes my life complete and makes me very happy , full of love and joy ! And teaching my children that they can have wings to fly to follow there dreams ..... just like the mamma bird will do when those babies come......so with that being said I want to wish a

she's dreaming ...

Wow .. its been awhile since I have posted. ... things have been busy and We got a touch of the stomach flu at our house this past week..so that has been no fun at all ! In the meantime .. i have been daydreaming about finding a fixer upper house to call home .... with all the foreclosures in Arizona the market is adding new homes everyday.... so a girl can dream .... here are a few i have found ...
